We have more than 50 years of experience in providing quality transportation, retail, and food and beverage services on Cape Lookout National Seashore (Core Banks). Morris Marina Kabin Kamps and Ferry Service, Inc. provide access to Long Point located on North Core Banks from Atlantic, NC. As a Concessionaire operating in a National Park, Morris Marina, Inc. is committed to assisting the National Park Service in achieving it's Mission: To preserve and protect the Park's resources while providing for the enjoyment of people for this, and future, generations. Morris Marina understands the unique ecosystems in the seashore and operates in an environmentally sensitive manner.

Cape Lookout National Seashore offers 56 miles of pristine, undeveloped beaches on one side, and beautiful marshlands on the other. The seashore is made up of four main islands: Shackleford Banks, North Core Banks, Middle Core Banks, and South Core Banks. We offer comfortable cabin rentals on North Core at Long Point. It is North Carolina's most beautiful barrier island nature preserves and fishing paradises. The Islands are bounded by four inlets, Barden's Inlet at the Cape, New Drum Inlet on the north of South Core Banks, Old Drum Inlet on the north of Middle Core Banks, and Ocracoke Inlet on the north of North Core Banks. The seashore boasts two historical sites; Portsmouth Village is located at the tip of North Core Banks and Cape Lookout Lighthouse at the tip of South Core Banks. Points of interest are the Lifesaving Station and Church in Portsmouth on North Core Banks and the Lighthouse and Coast Guard Station on South Core Banks.

The surf fishing on this stretch of coast is legendary and offers, Bluefish, Trout, Spot, Flounder, Sea Mullet, Pompano, Puppy Drum, Black Drum, Sheephead, among many other catches, and the chance to land the famed large Red Drum. Shelling in early spring is some of the best on the east coast; Scotch Bonnets, Olives, Petrified clams, Helmets, Conchs, and Whelks are just some treasures you'll find. Loggerhead turtles and a wide variety of shorebirds nest and raise their young during the summer and early fall.  A real unique experience is observing these species in the natural environment of the park. Come with friends and family to camp, fish, kayak, relax or just stroll along one of the most beautiful, uncrowded and unspoiled beaches on the entire east coast!

Morris Marina is taking 2008 reservations for service to Portsmouth Island at Long Point. We are glad that our company could help the NPS under an emergency contract to continue visitor services at Great Island following the 2004 season through 2007. Our company had a three year emergency contract that expired Dec. 31, 2007 and by law could not be extended. Unfortunately a new long term contract was not completed by the end of the three year emergency contract. The NPS is operating the cabins at Great Island for the 2008 season, please contact the NPS office for reservations at Great Island. We hope to provide service in the future under a long term contract when the competitive bid selection is completed for a new concessioner by the NPS.  We, thank you, the visitor, and the NPS for the opportunity to provide service to Cape Lookout National Seashore.
